Dubai's internationally buoyant real estate market is helping propel its rise on the world's economic league tables, a prominent American real estate moghul said.
"Dubai is clearly one of the most vibrant property development markets in the world.
"Pioneering and unprecedented projects make Dubai a prime contender in the global economy," said Donald J. Trump, the controversial business magnate. He spoke ahead of his address to the Entrepreneurs in Dubai event in May.
Real economic development is a result of the "start-up" spirit, Trump said. He will address Entrepreneurs in Dubai via video cast.
"The true driving force in any economy is entrepre-neurship," Trump said.
Trump is looking forward to addressing a topflight audience of business leaders in Dubai. It will be his first engagement with a Middle East gathering, he said.
"Never before have I addressed business professionals in the Middle East," Trump said.
"I look forward to sharing some insights into the guiding principles I have relied on to achieve business success from what it took to rebound from financial disaster, to a glimpse at what really went on behind the scenes during those difficult years of my career, as well as the near-impossible challenges I have faced along the way and the success I have achieved today," Trump said.
Speakers
Entrepreneurs in Dubai will take place at the Dubai International Convention Centre from May 23 to 25. Other speakers will include Dame Anita Roddick, who founded Body Shop, and easyJet founder Stelios Haji-Ioannou. Some two dozen visionary leaders and world-renowned entrepreneurs will discuss their experiences.
"[Audience members will learn how to become successful] when armed with only an idea and a vision," said Jessica Sutherland, general manager of IIR Middle East.
